Why is this important?
As we work to improve state government, rebuild our workforce and grow our economy, we will not lose sight of the values that make Vermont a leader in so many ways.
Vermonters have long-demonstrated a commitment to helping our neighbors, standing up for human rights, civil rights and equality, and protecting our environment. These are core Vermont values, and they add to the quality of life that makes Vermont a great place to live, raise a family and retire.
In the first half of Governor Scott’s term, the Administration – working with the Legislature – showed that when we invest our existing resources strategically and focus on outcomes – not just spending – we not only protect our most vulnerable and the things we value, but we can do it in a way that’s more affordable and supports economic growth.
